2. What CORTEX is (and is not)
CORTEX provides cognitive quizzes, training sessions, and score visualizations for entertainment and personal curiosity. It is not a medical device, clinical assessment, diagnostic tool, or treatment. Scores are approximate and for personal insight only.
3. Information we process
- On-device progress: quiz answers, scores, streak and workout history stored locally on your device.
- Purchases & entitlements: subscription status processed by Apple App Store / Google Play and synchronized via RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Diagnostics (optional / OS-level): crash or performance signals may be provided by the store platforms according to your device settings.
- Support communications: if you email us, we process the content of your message and contact details to respond.
4. What we do not collect
We do not require an account to use core features, do not sell personal data, and do not use the App to provide medical advice. We do not request sensitive health diagnoses.
5. Permissions
CORTEX uses network access to validate subscriptions and fetch configuration. Camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, and photo library access are not required for core features.
6. Legal bases (UK GDPR / GDPR)
Where these laws apply, we process data based on: (a) performance of a contract (providing the App and paid features); (b) legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving stability); and (c) consent where required by platform settings or law.
7. Sharing
We share information only with processors needed to operate the App (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) and where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
8. International transfers
Processors may process data in the UK, EEA, US, or other countries under their respective terms and appropriate safeguards.
9. Retention & deletion
Local progress can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing app storage. Store and subscription records are retained by Apple/Google under their policies. Email us to request assistance with entitlement or support-record deletion where we control the data.
10. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). If you believe a child provided data incorrectly, contact us.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the UK ICO or your local supervisory authority. Contact us at contact@xpertize.pro.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store / Play listing where required.
